Visual Metaphors
Below are a number of links to visual metaphors (broken into parts to make download easier). These metaphors are often used in therapy or given to clients. They help to reduce the amount of “verbal noise” in therapy.
I payed an artist to create these metaphors based on some of my own ideas and many many ideas from the ACT community
ACT images related to values and commitment
ACT images related to fusion and dysfunctional beliefs
ACT images related to self-as-context
ACT images related to mindfulness
ACT images related to willingness and acceptance
Images may be used for private purposes or with clients, but please contact Joseph Ciarrochi if you wish to use them in a publication.
